Deeper Fellowship

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Picture
The ECW is for all women of the Episcopal Church. At St. Michael’s our focus is on fellowship, discipleship and service to our parish and community. We host an annual spiritual retreat, support local not-for-profit organizations through fundraising and donation collection, make hundreds of fleece scarves to be given out at the annual Christmas dinner, and seek to provide additional opportunities for fun and fellowship. We meet quarterly for business and to plan our activities. Meetings are usually pot-lucks after the 11:00 Eucharist, and normally last about an hour. Childcare is available if needed. Activities are largely coordinated by email and phone during the remainder of the program year.

Knitting Group

Picture
The Knitters and Crocheters of  St. Michael's (which includes participants from several other churches in the Norman area!) make items to be given away to others.  These items include prayer shawls, purple baby caps (to raise awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome), scarves for Christmas Dinner, small articles of clothing (caps, scarves, ditty bags, and vests)for Mariners and Special Olympics.  We sometimes do special projects which are brought to our attention.  The knitting group meets Wednesday evenings in the Ingathering Space from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm.

Add in baked potates, veggies, salad, sodas, beer, and great conversation to make a relaxing night for the guys!
First time attendees eat free, everyone else is asked to contribute $15.00 to cover the cost of the meal.

Wicked Women

The word "wicked" can be defined many ways.
Picture
Sign up sheet is in the gathering hall. Cost is $10. First time is free.
The Wicked Women of St. Michael's would like to invite you to consider the following definitions: "mischievous, playfully malicious, or, as in the slang usage, "wonderful, great, masterful, and deeply satisfying." So, aside from having a wicked sense of humor, we also desire the opportunity to get together with other women in our faith community to share a good meal and each other's company. So, women, whether you're wicked or wise or winsome, you're welcome to join us as we take pleasure in sharing our community life together.

Wicked Women meet the third Friday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The meal theme changes every month so watch the St. Mike's Missal and bulletin announcements for each month's fare.

Wise Women

Wise Women is an informal group open to all women at St. Michael's.  The group meets once a month, generally on the fourth Saturday of each month for a potluck luncheon and shared fellowship.  These luncheons are held either in a member's home or in the Ingathering space at the church.  The luncheons generally last from 11:30 AM till about 1:30 PM.
